It can’t be called a “Sydney winter” without having the strong winds that could blow through even the thickest jackets. Walking on the streets, I heard them pushing through the trees in the darkness. It sounds like desperation. I dislike winter. But this is not even the “worst” — how did I survive Christmas in Helsinki back in 2014? The snow was deep, but the wind wasn’t as strong. Three hours of daylight seemed like a luxury…
